running IDL/ENVI on Apple PowerBook 3400c? [message #10169]

Hi,

I am trying to develop visualization software in support of field
experiments. The platform I have in mind is the slick Apple PowerBook
3400c.

Before I go out and spend money buying one, I am wondering if
someone out there has run IDL5.0.2 and/or ENVI 2.7 on a PowerBook 3400c
(MacOS8). If so, any problems, suggestions and tips?
