Hi,
We have organised our library into nearly 40 subdirectories.
On the workstation side all routines are launched very fast in contrast
to the PC's.
The PC's are connected via samba to the library. Normally samba is
faster than nfs.
At the moment I believe that's in idl5.02 for PC is a bug in searching
through the path for routines.
One of our Pentium 166MHz, WIN NT, 80MB RAM and idl5.02 takes more than
2 minutes in searching 60 routines.
A very old one of our Workstations whith 66MHz and 64 MB takes only 30
seconds.
Who can give me an idea to speed up the PC's
