IDL mode for emacs [message #10258]

Has anyone written an IDL mode for emacs, that they would like
to share with the rest of us...?

I am looking for a mode, where emacs recognizes the structure of
IDL code, where you can compile regions of the code or the entire
buffer with a couple of keystrokes, and have IDL running
interactively in another buffer where you can see the results of
running the code. A mode similar to the Splus mode for emacs, for
instance.

I can't get to this site - "no route to host"

This site only has an out-of-date version

Can't get to this site, either.

The only place I can get to that has the latest versions is at MPAe:
http://www.mpae.gwdg.de/mpae_RZ/software/idl/
