How does one measure the size and complexity of an IDL program?

Yes, you can use Unix "wc" to count source lines of code, but has anyone
written a a script or program to count operators/operands, cyclomatic
complexity, function points, etc.?

I'm very new to IDL, so forgive me if this issue has been taken up
before.
