I've just started evaluating both of these before getting one. Given
the common heritage, presumably the differences are now that each is
slightly stronger than the other in different areas.
I will be working on an app which looks at MRI voxel data of brains
that will be rendered in 3d and arbitrary 2d slices at any angle.
I'll also want to calculate the volume of various regions of interest
determined by 3d contouring. Can anyone suggest which package may
be better for that, or failing that at least point me to the areas
where there are real differences between the two so I can boot up
my test copies and compare side by side without spending days
looking at the same thing twice...
