This is posted on behalf of a colleague. He has a Windows NT server with an
IDL license. The NT machine runs Citrix Wincenter "extension", which allows
users on workstations to have NT applications displayed on their X display.

What happens is that when one runs IDL from the NT console, or from NCD Xterms
connected to it, one has full colour tables.

(and the same occurs to me running IDL natively under Digital Unix)

If instead he runs Wincenter from a Sun (SunOS 4.1.3 and OpenWindows), and
IDL on NT, he gets only 16 colours.
This seems irrespective of the way wincenter is started, it looks like a case
of mis-match between the visuals used by both systems.

Moreover the DEVICE subcommands used for the 'X' device to set the visual
appear to be illegal when the device is 'WIN'.
