Hello,

I am "translating" PV-WAVE routines into IDL. In PV-WAVE, there is a
routine called DC_Read_Free which is very practical to read ASCII columns
files (where e.g. you can choose which column to read etc.)
However the source code is not available.

Does something similar exist for IDL?

Thanks -- Andre

The resize command works if you haven't used rebin to
change the dimensions of one or more of the arrays. It
appears to me that if you rebin any of the variables in the
dc_read_free variable list, resize doesn't seem to have any
effect on the rebinned variable or any of the variables that

appears after the rebinned variable.
