Just have a small question regarding map_set and HOPE that it can be
resolved
simply before I invest too much time!

I have four corner points (these are polar points - about Casey
station(Australian))

-61.965556, 100.31250
-61.966944,119.668330
-69.170278, 123.185
-69.168056, 96.789444

the map_set call goes something like

map_set, -90, /stereo, [corners as above], color=0,/noborder,/hires,clip=0,
$
CONTINENT{FILL:1,HIRES:1,COLOR:1}

the problem is two fold:

(1) what is the ORDER for the corners I mean is it sw,nw,ne,se (where
s=south, n=north
e=eastm w=west). If I change them around I get vastly different maps so I
am not sure
if I am reading my on-line documentation right.

(2) when you have irregularly stepped lat/lon will the map produced be
"correct" in anyone
else's experiences.

I want to use this map as a mask in an expert system I have happening and
with MY data everything
appears fine but with my fellow researchers data (the corners above) I just
can't get anything that
looks reasonable I have decided I have the corners in the wrong order, am
using map_set incorrectly
or it can't be done.....I think it is most likely the former rather than the
latter.

Assistance would be greatly appreciated (then I can go home for Christmas!)

Katrina
