I have to read in ascii data in double exponential representation.
E.G.:

4.28000000000000D+02 1.26068115000000D-01 -5.55664063000000D-01
4.28012500000000D+02 1.22406006000000D-01 -5.56304932000000D-01
4.28025000000000D+02 1.18652344000000D-01 -5.56884766000000D-01
...

To get that data in correctly I have to change all D's into E's,
what isn't really satisfying.

How can that be done more efficient?

bye Franz
