Sorry, I don't think there is one. RSI tends to fix only those bugs
which don't affect my programs. The problem is known, since IDL 5.0 came
out, RSI has a webpage about it somewhere.
Maybe there is some hope for IDL 6.0 in two years or so, and maybe the
bug is fixed then. And maybe not.
