How to do Surface Fitting with Singular Value Decompositin (SVD)? [message #10781]

Hi everybody,

I want to do surface fitting with singular value decomposition on some
patch with a random grid size. It seems to me that SVDFIT is only for
curve fitting. Is there a corresponding surface fitting function with SVD
which I have missed in IDL? Or is there a simple way to do it?
