I've just started with IDL and have a problem with data types.
I am analysing a data field generated with a TURBO PASCAL program
under MS-DOS with some REAL numbers. These are 6byte (48 bit)floating
point numbers.
The only idea I have is to read the 6 bytes and then construct the
number by analysing the single bits.
Is there a better way of solving this problem?
