I had a harrowing realization after going through the book. About 80% of
the stuff in the book was familiar to me, 20% not. Now, David says, that
the book teaches you about 80% of the stuff you need to know about IDL.
Now, I imagine he knows about 80% of all the IDL stuff. That means that
_I_ know only about .8^3 of IDL stuff, or about 50%.
Wish I hadn't bought the thing :-). Ignorance is bliss.
but seriously, the book is a great buy.
