I find them (Windows NT, IDL 5.0.3) by going into the
Contents Tab of the standard on-line help and selecting
the IDL Scientific Data Formats Guide. This gives me the
opportunity to open this Guide up in a separate window.
If I chose the Contents tab of that window and click the
Scientific Data Formats option, I find the on-line help
files for HDF, CDF, and netCDF.
