I've got stacks of images on Kodak Photo-CD. I am looking for a procedure
that will open the PCD images, similar to the tiff_read procedure. Any
help out there.

Considering what the PCD has to offer, I would expect this to be a natural
extension of IDL's image processing capabilities. However, I have heard
that Kodak is extremely protective about the PCD format and have
threatened lawsuits against those who have reverse engineered the encoding
scheme.
