Hi Folks,
Although not yet listed on the New York Stock Exchange or
NASDAG, nevertheless my business is booming. Thanks to all
of you who have purchased books, taken classes, or asked me
to write programs for you. It is *greatly* appreciated.
Unfortunately, current obligations seem to require about
twice the available hours in any given day. :-(
As a result, I am pleased to announce I have hired
an associate to help me out. Starting April 15th, Dick
Jackson, formerly of the National Research Council in
Canada, will be joining me in my business.
Dick is a long-time IDL user and programmer who brings
a wealth of medical imaging and computer science experience
with him. His primary responsibilities here will be to help out
with our fast growing IDL programming and consulting business
and to take over the Coyote's Guide to IDL Programming Web Page.
If you have ideas for improvements or tips that you would like
to see on the page, please contact Dick as soon as possible.
He has lots of ideas for improvements and upgrades. His e-mail
address is djackson@dfanning.com.
Writing IDL programs is often lonely work. I am thrilled
to have someone around who not only shares my excitement
about programming with IDL, but who is crazy enough to leave a
secure job to join me in this always uncertain adventure.
I'm sure you will see Dick's name often in the weeks to
come. Please join me in welcoming him to this IDL
community.
