The IDL Mailing List info with some questions and answers about the list
is not the IDL-FAQ. The purpose of the IDL mailing
list is to work as gateway for messages from and to comp.lang.idl-pvwave for
IDL users without news access on Internet, CompuServe and several local
BBS's. The IDL FAQ with information about vendors is periodically posted in
this group. You can get the newest version through ftp:
ftp jaameri.gsfc.nasa.gov
user: anonymous
password: <email address>
cd /pub/idl
get idl-faq
quit

The FAQ didn't include contact information for the product
vendors. Would someone who has it handy -- US and France/Europe would
