I can heartily recommend David Fannings courses - I just attended
one here in Oslo last week (Hi, David! Hope you're not stuck for
too long in Denmark!) Even though most people on the course had
been programming IDL since 1991 or before, there was no shortage
of things to learn. It's fun watching your colleagues getting
excited in a computer class!
If you factor in the cost per hour spent learning object oriented
graphics, the single day we spent on object graphics probably
saved me more time/money than the cost of the course.
So I would definitely recommend the course, especially for
anyone who will be doing object oriented graphics in the
future. Try to get a not-too-diverse audience on the course;
that means more value for money for everybody.
