running IDL on SGI Octane or O2? [message #11987]

Hi all,

We are thinking about buying either a SGI Octane or O2 computer. I'd like
to hear your experiences of running IDL on those machines. I know Octane
is classified as high performance graphics machine.

Is there anything that you can do on Octane that you cannot on O2 in IDL?

Does IDL actually take all the advantages of high end graphics engine,
such things E-series graphics on Octane?
