Hello,

I have an file created in IDL using the save,<filename>,/XDR command on an
Alpha machine running VMS.

I'd like to read this file using C or C++ on a Macintosh.

The IDL manual specifies use of an RPC library for this type of task but I've
been unable to find if there is a Mac-specific port of this or if the version
from another platform would work. Does anyone out there know of one?

Thanks,
Tom

There is a port of Sun RPC 4.0 based on the GUSI socket library available.
I'm not sure where it's archived, but starting at Matthias Neeracher's GUSI
pages would be a good bet.
