Does anyone know if anyone has developed a good poly_area function for
IDL?&nbsp; The current version does not handle non-simple polygons at all.

<P>Also, I went ahead a wrote a star chart procedure for use with map_set.&nbsp;
If anyone is interested, I'll send it to you.
