Hi Folks,
Have you been hankerin'' for a real Western experience?
Do you like coyote and roadrunner cartoons, but have
never seen the real thing? Want to learn some
nifty new IDL programming techniques before you watch
the sun go down in a blaze of oranges and reds?
If so, then you don't want to miss the IDL Advanced
Programming course I will be teaching in Albuquerque, NM
August 18-21. I've been gathering object programming
ideas from the people in this group and elsewhere and
I will be teaching the best of them in this course.
If you want to know why everyone on this newsgroup is
raving about the new IDL object programming methods,
this is the place to find out.
Take your IDL programming skills to the next level and
join me for this practical programming course. Half the
course will be about object programming in general, and
the other half will introduce you to the object classes
and possibilities of the new IDL object graphics system.
As an added bonus, I'll be leading after-class excursions
to the Indian Petroglyph National Monument and up into those
mysterious Sandia mountains, where you are likely to see
deer, desert birds, and that ever-present coyote. Bring
your walking shoes, binoculars, a sense of adventure,
and a bottle of water. :-)
Please contact the training folks at Research Systems
for additional information and to sign up for this course,
or contact me directly if you have questions about the course
content. You should have at least a year's worth of
IDL programming experience to get the most out of this
course. You can reach the RSI training folks at
training@rsinc.com.
I'm looking forward to seeing you there!
David
