bad Postscript code from Wave ??? [message #12315]

Hi,

after having trouble with converting postscript files produced by PV-Wave
I looked at the generated Postcript code.

without knowing much about Postscript I am wondering about the lines:
%%BeginPageSetup
save $WAVE_DICT begin 54 738 translate 0.028346 dup scale 270 rotate

Does that variable $WAVE_DICT make sense in the PS code??
