One of the wonderful things about working in Australia is posting a
usenet question just before leaving the office and having a response
await you the following morning courtesy of those dwelling on
the opposite side of the earth ...

I tried printing under object graphics today for the first time -
without success. My view renders beautifully to an IDLgrWindow
object but when drawing to a printer destination, the created file
size is 0. Obviously I am once again doing something foolish but
I can't spot the error:

p = obj_new('IDLgrPrint')
p->draw, myview ; where myview is a valid IDLgrView
result=dialog_printersetup(p) ; choose printer settings
p->newdocument ; spool the output
obj_destroy, p

I am choosing an EPS file for output in the printer dialog. This is
IDL5.1 running under Linux RedHat 5.

Any help is much appreciated.

Darran.
