Hi, I am moving some code from idl 4.3 to idl 5.0.3 and I have run into a
problem with pickfile, or dialog_pickfile as it is now apparently called. On
idl 5.0.3 on a sun running Solaris 2.5, pickfile displays the full path to
files and directories in the selection dialog. Since the files I am using
pickfile to select are deep down the directory tree, idl truncates the path
and displays only the start of it in the selection dialog. This makes it
impossible for the user to know what he is selecting, unless the window is
resized. It there anyway to stop idl from displaying the full path in the
selection box? On idl 4.3, running on a dec alpha, it does not print the
full path, but the path is displayed in a separate path field. Any help
would be greatly appreciated! -Jay Cable
