Does anyone have any experience with IDL under OS2.1? I assume that this is
the only way to multitask IDL on a PC?

I found the same error with IDL 3.5.1 and the absence of the error
with IDL 3.1.1. The error is cured if you apply the CSD to OS/2 2.1
to bring it up to OS/2 2.11. Otherwise, you can use 3.1.1.
