We are interested in converting a grey scale image - where the grey
scale corresponds to topography - to an STL format or an IGES format.
The grey scale image can be in pretty much any common image format
(TIFF, GIF, PICT, EPS, JPEG, etc). Does anyone know of an IDL routine
that can do this? Is there a shareware program that can do the
conversions on a Mac or a PC? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Will
