Hi all -
Does anyone know of a GeoTIFF reader and/or writer for IDL? As long as
we're on the subject, the NASA web site that used to host the GeoTIFF
format specs points to a non-existant site for the specs now. Anyone know
a good place to get the info?

Chuckle, I already know that. Unfortunately, GeoTIFF was specified before
I was part of the project. It does seem like one of the formats I'll need
to be very familiar with in the future, so I might as well get a handle on
it now.

Thanks. This seems to be the same person that handled the site pointed to
from NASA judging by the ~ritter name.

Whatever you do, DON'T start playing with GeoTIFF, you'll be in for a few
headaches.
Anyway, for GeoTIFF formats look at :
http://home.earthlink.net/~ritter/tiff/
or have a look at the adobe site and search on geotiff
http://www.adobe.com/supportservice/devrelations/resources.h tml
Sorry got to dash, if you need some more info, Ihave some basic routines for
reading simple geotiff, these may be of use... e-mail me later.
