I don't know if anyone has ever tried to do this with IDL, but I'm
trying to find a way to interactively move 3-D scaled images around a
page that could potentially hold multiple images. These images are surface
plots and/or contours. What I've been messing around with so far, is
trying to use the POSITION key word along with slider widgets to move
the surface plots around. For 2-D images this would probably work
fine since you only need to wory about 2 plot directions and 2
position directions. But for 3-D stuff this becomes more difficult.
I have yet to come up with a satisfactory solution.

If anyone has tried this or can think of a way to do it, please send me email
with your suggestions.
