[IDL/ENVI] Extracting points from *.roi files [message #12485]

Is there an easy way in envi or other method in which to extract the pixel/array
points for a given array from a region of interest (roi) file? The units are in
pixels (and the image in question is ungeoreferenced) so there are no map projection
issues. Common sense tells me it should be straight forward.

Ideas?

The ENVI Statistics function takes a ROI as valid input area , so this is
one way to
get average pixel information.
If you want a rectangular subwindow just use the 'select bands and area' widget
available for nearly all ENVI processing routines.
