Background Widgets? [message #12718] Thu, 27 August 1998 00:00

Is it possible to run a widget as a background process? Ideally, I would
like to be able to run several of my widget programs from the same IDL
process simultaneously, and still have the prompt available for testing
commands. If this ability exists, is it OS independent? FYI, I am
currently using the outdated IDL 4.0 on a DEC Alpha running VMS 6.2

Thanks.
