Well, you are right there. It does act inconsistently.
It is probably just an oversight. I'd let RSI know about
it. I imagine it is something that is easily changed.
By the way, have you checked out Paul Sorenson's great
little program XCD? This one program has saved me *hours*
of time trying to figure out what directory I am in and
where I want to go. You can find it here:

This is the most useful utility program in my library. :-)
