Uh, Fat Tire, I think. One of the local microbrew's that
make Fort Collins the microbrew capital of Colorado. :-)
Fact is, since this is a holiday in the US and my youngest
just won another soccer tournament and John Elway (a famous
US footy star) is starting his final tour of the gridirons
tonight, I just may tosh down a couplla more!
Cheesrs,
David
P.S. DId I mention I *love* IDL. Jus wanted to be on task! :-)

I'll be heading through in the Spring looking for a good remote site to
set up an office with an attached house, as well as to scout out locations
for a meeting.

I used a Dye-Sub printer a few years ago that required SRF (Sun Raster
File) formatted files to be sent. I just decided how big I wanted the
picture in inches, opened up a Z buffer to those dimensions, created the
image/plot, then wrote it out with write_srf and spooled it to the
printer. If you want an example I can dig back through some files to
around 1992.

A simple line plot in object graphics is about 2 Gigs.
I think IDL can handle it. :^)
Cheers,
David
P.S. For those of you not entirely up on netiquette this

Well, as the one who was from the Glacier National Park area in question, I
cannot tell you if there are any good microbrews here, as I do not drink ;)
Ya'll just have to come up here sometime and find out for yourselves :).
Just to stay sortof on topic, are there any easy ways to print to a high
resolution plotter with a custom format? I'm not sure if they use Postscript
or not, but I will have the need down the line here for my application to
print high resolution images that could easily be 2 gigs or larger. Any
examples for this type of printing in IDL?

Trust me, David knows his microbrews :-) I, on the other hand have fallen
out of practice and could use some refresher courses. Along these lines,
and past off-topic comments by David, myself and a couplla ushers, are
there any good microbrews in the Glacier (or Yellowstone) National Park
areas of Montana? This could turn out to be a very on-topic discussion if
there are any.

Fat Tire's OK, but its not God's Gift to Humankind.
Oh wait, you weren't talking about yourself, were you? :-)
