Dear IDL users,
I'm updating my IDL web site (nis-www.lanl.gov/~uk2/idl), and in particular,
I'm revising the library of IDL routines - something that's long overdue. I
would like to make the database as comprehensive as possible, so I'd like to
solicit new libraries from the IDL community. If you have a library of
routines that you would like to make freely available, please E-mail me and
I'll send you some more details.
I would also be grateful for any suggestions about improvements to this
site. I have in mind a number of things, including (with the permission of
the library authors) providing all the routines online. This would, for
instance, allow people to download individual routines as needed as well as
use the site as a comprehensive online help facility.
As we're all painfully aware, there's a great need for object-based
routines. Even if you only have a handful of such routines, their
contribution to this library I'm sure would be greatly appreciated. I
should stress that your routines will not be modified in anyway and will
always be appropriately referenced.
