OK, I'm starting to sweat bullets and willing to beg. I'm looking
for an IDL procedure that calculates the position and velocity
vectors for an Earth satellite - the reason I want IDL is so I
can use its mapping and image-warping features to generate a
prediction of the accessible sky to plan observations with a
hitch-hiker payload. I have implemented one routine, based
on Manfred Bester's approach in the sattrack C code, but I'm
unsatisfied with its accuracy.

I'll be grateful for any help. The device is sitting on the pad...
