I don't feel old, and yet -
I was filling out a training registration form this morning. It asks
how long I've been using IDL. I started laughing when I figured it out.
Fourteen ... YEARS!
That may even beat you, David!
I've been using IDL since before it had a version number! When the
installation came on mini 9-track tapes...before any of this
high-falutin' gooey stuff...why, in my day, we were lucky to have
linestyles in our plots! I'll tell you...
(So why do I need training? My programming experience has been highly
discontinuous, and IDL develops features faster than I've been able to
learn them.)
