Hi!
First of thanks to everbody showing me the right way to solve my
problem with saving big arrays.
But now for something completely different:
I have to compute the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a very big
matrix (maybe 500x500). Does anyone know how much time IDL needs for
this ?
In fact, I don't need all the Eigenvectors, but the first 10 seem very
useful to me. Is there a way to compute just these 10 vectors?
My idea is as follows: I take only the first 10 Eigenvalues and let
eigenv use only these. Does this work?
I'm using a double Pentium II 333MHz computer, Unix and IDL 5.1.
