I'm using the following to make a map for some plots. I
find that I really need the state boundaries, but I could
do without all the detail along the coastlines. Does anyone
have a way to keep the smooth coast as one gets without the
/usa, but add the state boundaries?

map_set, limit=[25,-102,47,-68], /cont, /usa, /cylindrical
