Forgive me for responding to myself, but some help from RSI indicates that
the HASP/floppy problem is related to Dell's approach to the external floppy
connection. If Dell were to switch to a USB connection, for example, the
problem goes away. I guess, but the HASP is supposed to be transparent to
the other hardware. Another way to solve the problem would be to drop the
HASP approach to licensing.

My printer won't work through the parallel port with the HASP installed,
on a Dell XPS R400 running NT 4.0 SP4.
