Hi all -
The IDL FAQ has been updated and is available at
http://www.ivsoftware.com/pub/idl_faq.html. You can also
obtain the FAQ via email auto-responder by sending email to
faq@ivsoftware.com. Be sure to turn off any email spam spoofing you may be
using. Also, Anonymous FTP access is available from
ftp://ftp.ivsoftware.com/pub/idl_faq.html.
Changes from previous version:
G04. What is the current version of IDL?
T38. I'm confused by the meaning of column-major and row-major.
There has been a lot of 24-bit comments and questions in the newsgroup
over the last couple of months. I don't want to ignore the topic, but
don't feel like I can add anything, other than what has already been
mentioned in T35 and T36, both of which cover 24-bit color and point to
David Fanning's excellent web site.
Please note the new (yet again) IDL FAQ Location. If you provide a pointer
to the IDL FAQ on your web site or some other means, please update your
link location. I've made the changes so I don't have more than one
location on my web site (greatly reducing the chance that I'll forget to
update one).
