Wow! And it can't even be "fixed" by adding a POSITION keyword:

IDL> plot,[0,1],[0,1],xrange=[1,-1],yrange=[-1,1],/isotropic, $
Position=[0.1, 0.1, 0.9, 0.9]

Something strange there. :-)
