The IDL documentation on ZROOTS is rather sparse in that it does not
have an example - so I don't know what is going wrong with the
following call - can anyone help?
a=[-2.,3.,4.]
zroots,a,r
% Program caused arithmetic error: Floating illegal operand
Doing a plot,poly(findgen(100),a) gives a perfectly respectable
function.
I am using PC IDL V3.01
Thanks a lot,
