Dear IDL users,
I'm a beginner to IDL so there is probably an easy answer to this question.
I've been creating a widget program in IDL5.1.1 on a UNIX platform to use
as an IDL 'runtime script' for both UNIX and PC (Win95). The trouble is
that with anything other than the 256 color mode on the PC I just get
greyscales. I need it to work on "High color (16bit)" and "True Color
(32bit)" modes. I believe that the answer is connected to the "device" and
"decomposed" commands but I just can't make head-nor-tail of what the help
guide says. Please could someone explain them to me (in simple terms
without using jargon).
Thankyou for your help,
Robert
