Hi all...
Our group runs IDL 5.1 on an SGI-IRIX platform. Some users have
complained that the Xinteranimate widget can kill the twm window manager,
particularly if the user clicks on the Xinteranimate window with the
mouse. By "kill", I mean the task bars above each opened window
disappear, so that the user cannot change between windows anymore. Thus,
after twm dies, users must log out of their X session and log back in
again. This is somewhat annoying...
I myself use mwm for my window manager, and have not experienced any
adverse side effects from Xinteranimate. (For now, I am urging that
twm users also switch over to mwm... :-)
Has anyone else noticed this? I wonder if there is something messed up
with the way that twm handles events from the Xinteranimate window.
Just curious...thanx,
Bob Yantosca
