Hi,

I'm searching for a program package or routines which can be used to
create neuronal network structures in IDL.
I searched the web but didn't found anything.

Does anyone has any ideas from where to get it? I need it for my
diploma thesis.

Thanks a lot.

By neuronal networks, I assume you mean artificial neural networks(ANN).
As far as I know, there are a lot more tool boxes for MathLab than for
IDL. I don't know of any and I would also appreciate finding them.

Since ANNs perform a large numbe of matrix operations, IDL should work
well, but I always manage to screw up matrix multiplecation in IDL and I
could not successfully manage (1XN), (NX1) or (1X1) vs scalar. SO I gave
up and wrote a back-propagation 3-level network in C that I call from IDL.

If you are interested I can supply you the code. It is not fancy, no
widgets or anything like that.
