Is it true that the text on WIDGET_BUTTONs can only be black? I looked
through all parts of the manual I could think of and found no mention of
text color.
I'd appreciate a suggestion on how to use other color without trying to
make a text-like bitmap.

Pavel -

If you are using IDL with X windows (Sun/SGI/Linux) then I believe
you can play around with the widget resources. I know this is true
for the widgets themselves, not sure about the text though. Just
an idea.
