Yikes! I jumped over to the Amazon.com site to order the
third book in the Harry Turtledove alternative history
series about World War II and thought I would check on
the progress of my book up the charts. I wanted to see
how soon Amazon.com would be offering my book at half
price. Number 33,564 and climbing rapidly!
Wow. I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am to
IDL users (or how concerned I am for worldwide literacy).
At this rate (the book was in the 45K range less than a
week ago), I expect to be on the NY Times Best Seller
list by the middle of summer. I figure this is just
the sort of thing people will be taking to the beach
this summer. :-)

P.S. Let's just say the motivation of becoming a best-selling
author couldn't hurt when it comes to getting this *next*
book finished. :-(
