I have seen references to routines for accessing NCSA HDF files from IDL in several postings in this newsgroup. I have a system that works on VMS but I haven't been able to get it working on SunOs or Solaris. So I would be very grateful if someone could point me in the direction of a system that works on Unix platforms.
