I'd like to thank everyone who supplied suggestions and ideas. Although I
didn't use all the ideas, I certainly learned much more about PV-Wave. I
believe I have stumbled across the solution (it may not be pretty, though).
I returned to the Hewlett Packard Graphic Language format. It had worked
excellently on my line plots, but I could not get it to print individual
data points. My cube mate suggested that I change the symbol from a "." to
a "+". It worked! Then I reduced the symbol size so that a "+" looked like
a "." to the human eye. I guess HP plotters don't like to print dots.
Well, everything worked out fine and now I have postscript quality plots in
my Word document, and the plots even look good in Word on the monitor
(unlike postscript). This is definitely an easily implemented solution for
all those people who have had headaches with inserting postscript plots in
Word or PowerPoint.
