Check out my auroral_image.pro (also need Colorbar.pro) at
<ftp://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/CDAWlib/source/>. It provides a few
methods to try out (including trigrid). Used in polar images in
<http://cdaweb.gsfc.nasa.gov/>. Please let me know of problems and
suggestions.
